Ever since I first moved to California, I’ve believed in the power of the plant.
What began as a personal journey quickly evolved into a professional calling. Immersed in San Francisco’s rich history of medical cannabis activism, I found purpose working alongside trailblazers and legalization advocates like Students for Sensible Drug Policy and the Brownie Mary Democratic Club. With these organizations, I worked to educate the public and shape equitable cannabis policy before the adult-use laws even passed.
While still in law school at Golden Gate University, I started working at one of the first cannabis-focused law firms in the country. Over the next five years, I helped launch a licensed cannabis delivery service and lead policy planning efforts for the San Francisco Cannabis Legalization Task Force. I also built a network of operators, activists, and business professionals who trusted me to help navigate an evolving regulatory landscape. It wasn’t just legal work—it was community building.
In 2022, I founded Seligson Law, a boutique firm focused on business law for the cannabis and hemp industries. Today, the firm advises entrepreneurs and investors in California and New York, offering legal guidance on everything from corporate structuring and investment strategy to licensing, compliance, and intellectual property.
I take pride in being more than just a legal advisor. I’m a long-term strategic partner, someone who gets to know your business inside and out.
I’ve built my reputation on trust, transparency, and integrity, and many of my clients have become close friends. Throughout my career, I have supported over 400 cannabis businesses, with a focus on sustainable growth and social equity.
I am a member of the International Cannabis Bar Association and continue to advocate for meaningful reform in the industry.
I’m proud to have secured multiple licenses for both New York and California clients and even prouder that some of my earliest mentors, like San Francisco Legalization Task Force leader Terrance Allen, now turn to me for legal representation nearly a decade later.
When I’m not working, I can be found skiing, camping, or doing hot yoga. I geek out over politics, live for the next legal challenge, and wake up every day excited to help others build a future around the plant that’s given me so much.
